Under a desolate sky
I watched you wave goodbye
The ship sailed long and wide
Until we arrived at last
Emigrants all brothers and sisters
Fear and wonder
Eyes that have missed you
Home is like an aching heart
It never ends until we depart
To face the blackness and the dark
To walk the knife edge and fear the past
Like a scream in the dead of night
A nothingness shining light
So feint it’s never seen
Unless you are a king or queen
With silver gold land and cash
Half the price is cheap at that
Billy’s gone a long time now
Deeper down
