You’ve been hiding away
Too afraid to show your face
Don’t want to hear what they say
What you did was a holy disgrace
Close the curtains try to sleep
And don’t you cry
Keep the sunlight from your eyes
Pain is real can’t be disguised
You want to run
There’s nowhere left to go
You carry that heavy weight
With you inside it makes you low
Your lips are sealed
Your heart is tight
It’s hard to breathe sometimes
No energy left for the fight
Lay your head down
Don’t pick up the phone
Pretend you’re not in
There’s no one home
Love is hard to give
When you’ve got nothing left inside
We need love to live
To raise us save us keep us alive
