You won’t leave your room
You can still taste her perfume
Everything you see and do
Just reminds you when you were two
Her gardens in flower
Her clock chimes on the hour
Her reading chair by the fire
Clothes she left on the dryer
You do all you can to forget
Just let her go have no regret
You never really said goodbye
It’s hard to speak when you’re lost for words
She still sends you little messages
She knows you well enough to know
You’ll keep dreaming she’ll come home
Can’t get through to her on the phone
Why did she leave why did she go
It happens it’s the way of the world
I won’t leave my room
I’m too afraid of what I’ll lose
